What games are shown in HDTV on MSG Network?
All home games of the Knicks and Rangers are now available in High Definition Television. For more information on receiving games in HDTV, please call your local cable company or MSG Network at 212-465-5926.
What are the blackout restrictions for Knicks, Liberty, and Rangers games?
Various regional TV policies have been established by the National Basketball Association, the National Hockey League and Major League Baseball.The blackouts are intended to protect other team territories as well as the exclusivity of national television outlets.
NEW YORK KNICKS / NEW YORK LIBERTY
New York
- Total blackout in southwestern New York, within 150 miles of Cleveland.
New Jersey
- Total blackout south of Mercer, Monmouth and Ocean Counties.
Connecticut
- Total blackout in New London and Windham Counties.
Pennsylvania
- Total blackout, except for the following counties: Bradford, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Susquehanna, Wayne, and Wyoming.
NEW YORK RANGERS
New York
- Up to 50 games may be carried beyond Sullivan, Ulster and Dutchess Counties.
- Total blackout within 50 miles of Buffalo, including Rochester.
New Jersey
- Total blackout south of Mercer, Monmouth and Ocean Counties.
Connecticut
- Up to 50 games may be carried beyond Fairfield County.
Pennsylvania
- Up to 50 games may be carried in the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton area.
- Total blackout beyond the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton area.
Are Knicks and Rangers games available with closed captioning for the hearing impaired?
All Knicks games on MSG Network are available with closed captioning (a first for regional networks). For the New York Rangers, seventy games on MSG Network (both home and away) are available in closed captioning.
